The selection of wine on the supermarket shelf is sometimes confusing. You can be guided by the price, but it is difficult for an unprepared buyer to figure out which drink is hidden in a suitable bottle. The key to the solution is the label. Experts at Villa UA, which recently updated both the bottle and the label for its wines, tell you what elements to pay attention to in order to choose what you need quickly and without pain.

Often, producers put on the label the name of the brand, the year the winery was founded and the year of harvest, the characteristics of the region of origin of the grapes and the variety, the names of competitions and medals won by the wine, taste characteristics and recommendations for pairing with products. It is interesting, but useless when you run into the store to buy wine for dinner after work or on the way to visit. If you learn to read the label and select the main ones, the selection process will take no more than a few minutes. What and where to look for a bottle of wine?

1. White or red
If you immediately decide which wine you are going to buy, it will make the choice easier and narrow down the range of options. But already at this stage difficulties may arise. Minimalism is in fashion, and manufacturers place an attractive picture with the name of the winery, region or grape variety on the label. As a result, on the long wine shelves, the images are mixed into a kaleidoscope. Special landmarks – color elements – appeared on the updated Villa UA labels. If there is a bright orange die on the bottle, then there is red wine inside. For example, traditional Merlo and Pinot Noir or Shevalie Rouge blend. The turquoise color of the elements indicates that there is white or pink wine inside, for example, Chateau Baron or Chateau Le Grand.

2. Dry or sweet
Many manufacturers indicate the amount of sugar on the back of the bottle. But if you find there, for example, an indicator of 18 g / l, it will not help or tell a non-expert – it is still semi-dry or already semi-sweet. For buyers who do not know the specifics of the technological process, do not understand grape varieties, sugar content and other subtleties of winemaking, the indication of the category – sweet, semi-sweet, semi-dry, dry – will help to choose faster. On the updated Villa UA bottles, this information has become more visible and moved to the center of the label.

3. Familiar manufacturer or new brand
Experiments are the fate of scientists, and when it comes to choosing wine, especially if it needs to be done quickly, you should approach it traditionally and trust proven brands.

The familiar taste of Villa UA wines is easy to find after the renewal of the packaging by the branded elements. The image of the villa is located at the top of the bottle, and in the lower part there is another molded shaped element – keys. They open the door to the world of taste and symbolize the main secret: the packaging of Villa UA wines has been updated, but the quality and taste of the drink inside remain unchanged.
